Timothy David Ogburn, 63, of Dinwiddie passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021. Born May 10, 1958, he was the son of Pauline Ogburn and the late Robert Edward Ogburn, and was also preceded in death by his brother, James Edward Ogburn. He was a member of Prospect Christian Church. Timothy retired as a Sergeant from Dinwiddie County Sheriff’s Office after serving his community for 30 years and was owner of Ogburn and Ogburn Trucking. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #882 and the Dinwiddie Moose Lodge. He is survived by his mother, Pauline S. Ogburn; siblings, Diane Ogburn Wiley (Keith Barker), Deborah Ogburn Smith (J.R. Smith), Robert Wesley Ogburn (Felecia P. Ogburn), Pauline Rebecca Ogburn Hammond; and sister-in-law, Esther W. Ogburn; The Maitland Family; extra special friends, Avis and Wayne Husky; nieces, nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and many loving cousins and friends. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Smyrna Baptist Church, 18971 Carson Rd, Dinwiddie, VA 23841. The family requests that face masks be worn at church. Interment will follow in Prospect Christian Church Cemetery, DeWitt, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral on Tuesday from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the church. There will also be a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Prospect Christian Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Pauline S.
