Tracy Schutt

Tracy Lynn Schutt, 51, of Colonial Heights passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at VCU Medical Center. Born on March 24, 1965, she was the daughter of James S. and Irish Faye Schutt. Tracy was a kindergarten teacher at Patrick Copeland Elementary School for 25 years. She was very crafty with a needle and thread as she loved to cross-stitch. Her most treasured time spent was with her family and friends, whom she adored. She is survived by her loving parents, James S. and Irish Faye Schutt; brother, James S. "Jim" Schutt, Jr.; and fury four-legged friends, Gabby and Sophee. The family would like to thank the staff in the Pulmonary Care Unit at VCU Medical Center for their tremendous care and compassion for Tracy. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Highland United Methodist Church, 125 E Westover Ave, Colonial Heights, VA 23834, with the Reverend Dorothy O'Quinn officiating. Interment to follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, S. Prince George, VA. The family will receive friends Monday night, August 8, 2016 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Crater Road Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes, 3935 S. Crater Rd, Petersburg, VA 23805.
