Troy Mcdaniel

Troy Steven McDaniel, 47, of Colonial Heights passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021, at home.  Born March 2, 1974, he was the son of Larry and Jaunita McDaniel. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Barbara and Thomas Kirk; paternal grandmother, Francis McDaniel; uncle, Greg McDaniel; and brother-in-law, Chris Giles.

Troy worked as a technician for Verizon for 22 years. He enjoyed playing chess, and cheering for the Dallas Cowboys and the North Carolina Tarheels.

He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Chelly Lynn McDaniel; three children, Brittany L. McDaniel, Bryson S. McDaniel, Braxton A. McDaniel; two granddaughters, Kinslee McDaniel, Reagan Varga; grandson on the way, Brayden Godwin; mother-in-law, Gayle Seay; and other extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834. Interment will be private. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.
