Vera Poole

Vera G. "Polly" Poole 84, of Colonial Heights, formerly of Petersburg, died Friday February 27, 2009 at Southside Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Henry Fain and Essie Lena English Grubbs. Vera was preceded in death by her husband Emmett L. Poole, a daughter Delores P. Wood, a grandson Trey Felts and two sisters Madeline Andrews, and Martha Harrup. She was a retired Lens Inspector for Titmus Optical. Mrs. Poole is survived by her daughters Barbara D. Durley of Colonial Heights, Peggy Johnson and husband Ben of Waverly, Debbie Archer and husband David of Dinwiddie, son in law Buster Wood of Chester, grandchildren Travis Felts, Sarah Proffitt, Christy Thompson, Lisa Wood, Lindsey Wood, Brian Archer, Amanda Archer, twelve great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Monday March 2, 2009 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard 23834.
