Vincent Brown

Vincent Joseph "Beav" Brown, 82, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2011 at Southside Regional Medical Center. Born in Boston, Massachusetts he was the son of the late Albert and Elizabeth Clark Brown. Mr. Brown was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church. He received his Bachelors Degree from Suffolk University, Boston, and was a retired IRS Agent in Richmond. He is survived by his wife, Joan "June" Brown; his children, Susan Mayes and husband, Michael of Dinwiddie, Vincent W. Brown and wife, Tamara of Colonial Heights, Albert J. "Jimbo" Brown and wife, Shirley of Richmond, and Joanne Hoke and husband, Bubba of Colonial Heights; grandchildren, Philip Mayes, Pamela Goldsmith, Susan Meanor, Sarah Martin, Katie Mayes, Cliff Brown, and Stephen Hoke; step-grandchildren, Sara Schaaf and Charlie Flexon; four great-grandchildren. A funeral mass will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2011 in St. Ann Catholic Church, 17111 Jefferson Davis Highway, Colonial Heights, with Father Lou Ruoff, Celebrant. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the church prior to mass. The funeral procession will leave St. Ann Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2011 for interment in St. Ann Catholic Church Cemetery, 3320 Beechwood Avenue, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
