Virginia Lee Cogle, 100, of Prince George passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 29, 2018. Born on October 7, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Alexander Cogle Sr. and Eva Emory Cogle. She was preceded in death by sisters Clarice Cogle Williams (John), Alma Cogle Cheeley (Page) and brother Alexander Cogle, Jr. (Sarah). She is survived by three nieces, Linda Willingham (Jim), Laura Dewell (David) and Doris Pennington; three nephews, Eugene Carlton Cogle (Sharon), William Daniel Cogle and Thomas Page Cheeley (Cynthia) and many loving great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews. Virginia was a graduate of Disputanta High School. She was a long-time employee of Brown and Williamson and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Disputanta. A memorial service will be held at 1:00p.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Home, 2033 Boulevard, with a visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Ct, Glen Allen, VA 23060 or the United Methodist Family Services, 3900 West Broad Street, Richmond, VA 23230.
