Virginia Flanagan

Virginia Marsee Flanagan, 88, of the Lafayette House in Petersburg, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Herschel Marsee Sr. and Rosa Burelson Marsee, and was preceded in death by her husband, Jack of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Herschel (Sonny) Marsee Jr., Richard and Frank Marsee Sr.; sisters, Vivian (her twin) and Elaine Douglas. She is survived by her sisters, Ruth Marsee Sadler of Colonial Heights and Gertrude Marsee Jenkins of Falls Church, Virginia; one brother, Michael Wayne Marsee of Zuni, Virginia; a special niece, Sheri S. Brockwell and husband, Gary of Colonial Heights; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to give thanks to the staff of Riverview on the Appomattox along with the staff of Hospice of Virginia. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 12, 2014 at Sunset Memorial Park, 2901 W. Hundred, Chester, Virginia 23831 with the Reverend Ronnie West officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, December 11, 2014 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
