Virginia Bishop

Virginia F. Bishop, 88, of Church Road, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020.  Born in Petersburg, on January 9, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Jackson and Susie Tench Frank.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton A. Bishop, Sr.; son, Clifton A. Bishop, Jr.; son-in-law, Rick Riker, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Betty Collins Bishop; brothers, Tom, Edward, George, James and John Grinstead; and sister, Margaret Lewis.

Virginia was a member of Western Heights Baptist Church and retired from Titmus Optical.

She is survived by her sons, Terry Bishop (Linda), Jamie Bishop (Page), and Timmy Bishop (Nancy); daughters, Judi Riker and Kathy Comer (Eddie); nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2020 in Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, S. Prince George, Virginia 23805.  Her remains will rest from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday, December 21, 2020 at the Crater Road Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory 3935 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23805.
