Virginia Hacker

Virginia Alice Hacker, 72, of S. Chesterfield passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021. Born March 30, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Oliver Ormaby and Rose Lucille Phillips, and was also preceded in death by her son, Jerry D. Hacker. Virginia loved spending time with her family and enjoyed collecting miniature lighthouses. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Hyman Hacker; two children, William O. Hacker, Laura A. Hacker; five adopted children, Harris Hacker and wife, Bonnie, Ursula Ransom and husband, Ron, Herman Hacker and wife, Cheryl, Danny Hacker, Peter Hacker and wife, Wanda; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Carson Phillips, Jimmy Phillips; sisters, Jackie McNew, Rosalen F. Phillips; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 27, 2021 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service on Saturday from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family requests that guests dress comfortable and casually.
