Virginia Meredith

Virginia Dell Meredith, 95 of Dunkirk, Maryland, formerly of Landover Hills,MD. died on Monday, May 5, 2008 at her residence. She was born in Chesterfield County and was the daughter of the late, John and China Catherine Orr Rudy. She was a former member of Woods United Methodist Church, Chesterfield. She was preceded in death by her husband, George L. Meredith, two sons, George R. Meredith and John W. Meredith., One brother, John Wesley Rudy, three sisters, Catherine Murphy, Marion O'Kennon and Blanche Hawkins. Mrs. Meredith is survived by two daughters, Joyce M. Mumaw of Davidsonville, MD and Grace M. Jarboe and husband, William of Dunkirk, MD. Twelve grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. A funeral service will Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 2:00pm at Wood's United Methodist Church 7200 Hickory Road, Petersburg, VA. 23803 with the Rev. Douglas Gilfillan and Rev. Gene Tatum officiating. Burial to follow in the Church Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Mount Harmony United Methodist Church Building Fund, 155 Mt.
