Virginia Poe

Mrs. Virginia Joan Poe, 74, of Colonial Heights, Virginia, widow of the late Mr. William Earl Poe, died Wednesday August 29, 2018 at Chippenham Hospital after a period of declining health. She was the daughter of the late William and Evelyn M. Lewis, and was also preceded in death by her sister, Mrs. Doris Nimz. She is survived by her son, Mr. Jason Earl Poe and his wife Mrs. Laura Frances Poe; two grandchildren, Miss Katherine Elizabeth Poe and Master Joshua Earl Poe, all of Colonial Heights, Virginia; three brothers, Mr. Emil Miller of Spring Lake, New Jersey, Mr. Charles Lewis of St. Pierce, Florida, and Mr. Edward Lewis of Bellpoint, Florida; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Sokol of Haldon, New Jersey, and Mrs. Patricia Gaydos of Patterson, New Jersey. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 7, 2018 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, with the honorable Reverend Steve Lalk of�ciating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the commencement of services from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Interment will follow at historic Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, Virginia.
