Virginia Procise

Virginia Wilson Procise, 97 of Colonial Heights, passed away Friday March 8, 2019. Born July 11, 1921, she was the daughter of the late James W. Wilson and Hattie Murdock Wilson. She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Lewis Procise; two sisters, Ethel W. Mayes and Margaret W. Pizzullo; one brother James A. Wilson; two sons, Donald Lewis Procise and Lawrence Wayne Procise; grandson Todd Wade Campbell; great-grandson Blake Lane Jordan. Virginia is survived by daughter Marcia P. Campbell; two devoted granddaughters Kimberly Lee Campbell and Tammera P. Ducey; devoted grandson Larry Donald Procise; daughter-in-law Shirley Procise; granddaughter Sherrie Procise; six great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. Virginia was a charter member of TOPS #485 for more than 20 years and had many very close friends in the organization. She was a member of the American Legion #284 Colonial Heights for many years. She was a member of AARP 1041 Colonial Heights and had many friends at the Colonial Heights Senior Center. Virginia was an honorary member of the Harvest Baptist Church family in Carson, Virginia. She was very active and independent and enjoyed many social activities and trips with her friends. Virginia loved visiting the "old folks" at the nursing home and even continued to drive until age 95. She loved The Lord, her family and her friends. She was loved and will be truly missed. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Blandford Cemetery, 319 S. Crater Road.
