Virginia Royal

Virginia Lee Burnett Royal 86, of Colonial Heights, passed away Wednesday August 8, 2012 at the Colonial Heights Health Care Center. She was the daughter of the late Dewitt and Annie Schmidt Burnett and the widow of William T. Royal Jr. Mrs. Royal was a member of the former Third Presbyterian Church in Petersburg and a member of Second Presbyterian Church in Petersburg. Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Dalton Dillard and husband James S. Dillard of Florida, Donna R. Kyle, and husband Michael H. Kyle of Midlothian, grandchildren Jenna Dillard Dalton, Stanley M. Dillard, Connie Dillard, Richard Allen Kyle and wife JaNelle Kyle, Natalie Kyle, seven great-grandchildren, one brother Henry Talmadge Burnett, two sisters, Doris Whitehead, Arline Wicks and husband Irving, and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday August 10, 2012 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Dr. Daniel E. Hale officiating. Interment Blandford Cemetery Petersburg, Virginia. The family will receive friends Thursday August 9, 2012 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
