Virginia Sharpe

Virginia Johnson Sharpe, 80, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at Hopewell Health Care Center. She was the daughter of the late Jack and Mary Lou Johnson, and was preceded in death by her husband, Bailey E. Sharpe Sr. Mrs. Sharpe was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, and a retired machine operator with Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company. She is survived by her son, Bailey E. Sharpe Jr. of Colonial Heights; a sister, Ellen Barefoot of North Carolina; numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2009 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend David Prather and the Reverend Fred Adkins officiating. Interment Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
