Wallace Kofron Sr.

Wallace Eugene Kofron Sr., 79, of Matoaca, VA passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Southside Regional Medical Center. Born in Matoaca, Virginia he was the son of the late William Martin and Bessie Harris Kofron. He was a retired Fire Chief for Fort Lee Fire Department and a former volunteer for Chesterfield Fire and EMS. He was also a former member of The Ettrick-Matoaca Rescue. Wallace is survived by his wife, Nancy Kofron; four children, Steven W. Miller and wife, Teresa, Clifford, Deborah, and Wallace Jr; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Emory and Jean Weathers; a brother, William Kofron; special friend, Wilbur Peyton III; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the men and women of Chesterfield Fire and EMS and Colonial Heights Fire and EMS for their service and care given to Wallace during his time of need. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Chesterfield Fire and EMS or Ettrick - Matoaca Rescue.
