Wallace Reuter

Wallace "Wally" Reuter, 73, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2016 at Vibra Hospital of Richmond. Born in Middleport, Ohio on June 13, 1943, he was the son of the late Richard Reuter and Margaret Russell, and was also preceded in death by his wife, Junetta Reuter; brother, Robert Jan Reuter; and favorite uncle, Wally. Mr. Reuter attended Calvary Baptist Church for many years, a place he cherished dearly. He was a United States Army veteran and later retired from CSX Transportation after 25 years of dedicated service. Wally was an avid fisherman, hunter and camping enthusiast, and loved spending time with his family and friends, especially when there was a prepared meal to enjoy. He also loved being a "Pappy" and will be missed by all. He is survived by his loving companion of 21 years, Betty Respess; son, Jan Reuter; daughter, Cristiena Miller and husband, Dean; grandchildren, Zack, Richard, Jeffery, Zane, Rebecca; numerous great-grandchildren; step son, Tim Martin and wife, Tina; sister, Patricia Springer; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his loving Virginia family, Allyson Gough, Cindy Hendrick, Karla Viar, David Tyson, and all of their children. Funeral services will be private. The family will receive friends Tuesday night, December 27, 2016 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 17001 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Colonial Heights, VA 23834.
