Wanda Bailey

Wanda Denise Bailey, 58, of Chesterfield, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2022. She was born November 22, 1963, to the late Robert and Dorothy Gentry.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Waverly Russell Bailey; her sister, Etta Leigh; and brother, Paul.  Wanda worked for Church & Dwight which became a second home due to the wonderful ladies she worked with. In her youth she rode dirt bikes and roller skated competitively, tracing figures. She was creative and always sought opportunities to help others. Every summer she enjoyed taking her pontoon boat out to go fishing for catfish and on sunny days she’d ride her motorcycle. And, of course, she loved listening to her late husband play the guitar with their friends at their bluegrass jam sessions. Above all, she was a lovingly devoted wife and caring mother. She is survived by her two children, Tracy Marie Bailey and Wesley Robert Bailey, and her sister, Betty Jean.

A memorial service will be held from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Home, 2033 Boulevard Colonial Heights, VA 23834.
