Wanda Duffy

Wanda J. Duffy, 87, of Colonial Heights, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2015. She was born March 10, 1928 to the late James Dillon and Mary Anne Burton Akers, and was the widow of David C. Duffy. Mrs. Duffy attended Bethlehem Congregational Church and was a longtime resident of the Dunlop Senior Apartments, where she had many friends. She enjoyed needle work, walking and the outdoors. Mrs. Duffy was a very faithful Christian who loved family, friends and baking bread. She enjoyed her life to the fullest. She is survived her son, Jeffrey Allen Duffy and wife, Kathy of Disputanta; sisters, Ada Belle LeMaster and husband, James and Reba Elizabeth Chapin and husband, Bryce; and several nieces & nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 24, 2015 at the Bethlehem Congregational Church Cemetery, 10501 Pole Run Road Disputanta, Virginia 23842 with Pastor Pat Elder officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, August 23, 2015 at the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
