Wanda Mull Stamey, 71, of Chester, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019. She was the daughter of Bernon and Bernice Mull of Morganton, North Carolina. She is survived by her husband, William Stamey; sons, Anthony and Joshua Stamey; sister, Debbie Ingram (Kevin); brother, David Mull; niece, Heather Gillenwater; nephew, Chad Dickson; and grandsons, Jack, Nathaniel, Nolan, and Nick. Wanda was born and raised in Morganton, North Carolina. She married her high school sweetheart in 1965 and was a proud “army wife” for 20 years. She and Bill traveled the world raising their two sons. She retired from the United States Government in 2007 and settled in Chester, Virginia. She was always busy and took pride in volunteering at Curtis Elementary School and Chesterfield County Police Department. She was a proud grandmother and aunt, always spoiling and doting on her grandsons, nieces, and nephew. She had a vivacious spirit and was always looking for the next adventure. She loved to travel, shop, and decorate. She was eager to help others and cherished time with her family. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with Pastor Aaron Hoback officiating.
