Wavey Archer

On Thursday, May 18, 2017 Wavey Bane Archer,73, of Prince George, was called home by her Lord and Savior at home. She was a giving person and touched the lives of many. Her kind eyes and easy going nature will be sorely missed by family and friends. She was the daughter of the late John Harvey and Virginia Catron Bane. Mrs. Archer was preceded in death by two husbands, Hoover Sr and William Henry Jr.; a daughter, Peggy Jean Vlk ; three brothers and a sister. She was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church. Mrs. Archer is survived by her children, Hoover "Junie" Archer Jr. and wife, Larue, Mark Archer Sr. and wife, Donna, Wendy Archer Brockwell and husband, Bryan, Brandon Archer and Angela; and son in-law Tony Vlk, all of Prince George. A host of grand and great grandchildren; sisters, Lois Testerman of Marion, Linda Dallas and husband, Tom, Agnes Atkins and husband, Arthur of Bentonville and brother Pee Wee Bane of Marion ; numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday May 22, 2017 at Grace Baptist Church 23814 River Rd Petersburg VA 23803 with the Pastor Raleigh Nunnally officiating. Burial to follow in Blandford Cemetery Petersburg. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5-7:00 p.m.at the Crater Rd Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Home and Crematory 3935 South Crater Rd, Petersburg 23805. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Grace Baptist Church.
