Wayne M. Cole

Wayne M. Cole, 84, of Chesterfield, Virginia passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2024. Born July 6, 1940, he was the son of the late, Herbert Green Cole and Massouni Griffin, he also predeceased by his siblings. Wayne worked in the maintenance field for Chesterfield County. He was an avid hunter. He is survived by his wife, Judy; son, Jerry Spain (Angie); daughter, Janet Shoaf (Dave), grandchildren, Diane Panton (Ronnie), Gabrielle Cliborne (Jacob), Hunter Spain (Jade), Trevor Spain (Kayla), David “DJ” Shoaf (Kristen); seven great grandchildren; and three additional great grandchildren on the way; and dog, Scooter. The family would like to extend a special thank you to family, friends, Lou Wilson, Suzanne Avery, and Lois Griffin, as well as Affinity Care of Virginia, Hospice. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Rd, Prince George, Virginia 23805. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Dinwiddie Baptist Church, 14818 Wilkinson Rd, Dewitt, Virginia 23840, or Affinity Care of Virginia, Hospice, 3736 Winterfield Rd Suite 202, Midlothian VA, 23113.
