Wendy Jones

Wendy Michelle Jones, 38, of Colonial Heights, Virginia passed away on Thursday night, August 18, 2011 as a result of a motorcycle accident with her fiancé, Chris Davidson. Wendy was a mother, a daughter, a sister, a friend, and a first-responder nurse. She loved her family and wanted her children to be happy, educated, and love Jesus as their Lord and Savior. As a nurse, Wendy's co-workers described her as "one of the best." "She also provided her patients with compassion and top-notch care without skipping a heartbeat." Wendy worked at Southside Regional Hospital in Petersburg, Virginia approximately 17 years as a Registered Nurse. Her favorite was the Emergency Room. Wendy is survived by her parents, Thomas A. Jones Jr. and Jo Ann R. Jones; her sister, Mary Jo C. Powell; four children, Summer N. Foster 18, Katlyn M. Foster 15, Nicholas S. Jones 9, and Emily E. Jones 6; and grandmother, Jacqulyn C. Jones. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at the funeral home. WENDY "MOMMA" YOUR SOUL WILL LIVE FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS :).
