Wiley Rogers Underhill, Sr., 77, of Colonial Heights passed away on Friday, January 8, 2016 surrounded by his loving family at his home. Born on April 16, 1938, he was the son of the late Wesley Lee and Marion Storey Underhill. Mr. Underhill served his country proudly during his time with the United States Navy and later retired from Hercules Power Company in Hopewell, Virginia, and was a devoted fan of the Boston Red Sox. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Glorias; sons, Roger and wife, Denise, Richie and wife, Christie, Robin, and Ryan and wife, Kate; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Wayne and wife, Joyce, Warren and his companion, Joyce; and two sisters, Lois Barlow and Donna Sizemore; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, with the Reverend Michael Osborne officiating. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg.
