William Edgar Angel, 90, a native of Colonial Heights departed this life on April 1st 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents, Delia S. and Charles H. Angel and his wife of sixty-three years, Frances B. Angel. Mr. Angel is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, Kenneth W. Angel, David T. Angel and wife Susan, and Stephen F. Angel; a granddaughter, Laurian Nicole Angel, and her mother, Angelia Angel; a brother, Charles H. Angel, Jr., and a sister, Nell Angel Warren. Mr. Angel was a charter member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He saw extensive combat in both France and Germany in World War II, including the liberation of Dachau. He retired as office manager of Brown and Williamson Tobacco Company in Petersburg after 40 years of service. A memorial service, celebrating his life, will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Family members will receive friends immediately following the service in the church atrium.
