William Arrington, Sr.

William Lloyd Arrington, Sr., 81 of Colonial Heights passed away Friday, January 22, 2021.  He was born April 7, 1939 in Crewe, VA to the late Lloyd and Ethel Swicegood Arrington.  William was also preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Shirley Bass Arrington; and three brothers, Elmer Arrington, George Arrington, and David Arrington.  William is survived by his son, William Lloyd Arrington, Jr. (Cathy); two sisters, Lola M. Easter (Floyd), and Ann Webb (Butch); three brothers, Alvin Arrington (Judy), Joe Arrington (Aileen), and Webster Alexander (Linda); and numerous nieces and nephews.  William loved Dodge cars and was a long-haul truck driver for more than 50 years.  He will be missed by all those who knew him.  William’s remains will rest from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at The Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights VA, 23834.  A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, 4498 Bible Road, Crewe, VA 23930.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lucy Corr Foundation, lucycorr.org/foundation/.
