William Beale

William "Billy" R. Beale, 79, of Chester, VA passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born in Petersburg, VA he was the son of the late Collin R. and Marion Carter Beale and was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert C. Beale Sr.; and a sister, Elizabeth W. Curtis Vaughan. Mr. Beale was a United States Navy Veteran and had been a member of the American Legion Post #284 for over 50 years. Billy is survived by his loving wife, Brenda C. Beale; two devoted daughters, Kimberly B. Davis and husband, Steven and Rhonda B. Blake and husband Timothy; five adoring grandchildren, Matthew S. Acree, Michelle K. Davis, Alyssa J. Blake, Michael C. Davis and Meredith E. Blake; one great-granddaughter, Aria D. Acree; a sister, Ann Richardson and four nieces and one nephew. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, with the Rev. Dr. Lloyd Braswell officiating. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, VA. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2016 at the funeral home.
