William Buterbaugh

William H. (Bill) Buterbaugh, 79, of Chester, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2008 at his residence. He was the son of the late Robert Buterbaugh and Hazel Buterbaugh Stiffler. Mr. Buterbaugh was a veteran in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was awarded five bronze stars. He retired after 33 years of service as an Electrical Planner from Hercules Inc. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Joan C. Buterbaugh; daughters, Robin Buterbaugh and Renee Custalow both of Chester; a grandson, Matthew Monarez; a granddaughter, Shawnee Custalow; a brother, Robert Buterbaugh of Pennsylvania; two sisters, Marie Crump of Prince George and Sandra Bartle of Chester. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2008 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with Dr. Gwynn Davis officiating. Interment Sunset Memorial Park, Chester. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
