William Collins

William Lynn Collins, 51, of S. Chesterfield, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018 at Southside Regional Medical Center. Born in Petersburg, he was the son of the late Sterling Lynn Collins and was preceded in death by his grandparents, Major & Mabel Collins of Chesterfield and Lacy & Mary Hamlet of Charlotte County. He is survived by his mother, Alice H. Collins; a brother, Sterling Ray Collins; close family friends, the Gonzales family and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2018 in Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, South Prince George, VA 23805 with the Reverend David Prather officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 8, 2018 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
