William Danforth

William Underwood Danforth, 88, of Chesterfield, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, February 3, 2014. He was the son of the late Charles Carter and Maude Prince Danforth, and was preceded in death by two brothers, Carter Prince and Carl M. Danforth; and a sister, Christine Heisinger. He was a US Army Veteran having served during World War II, and was a retired Postal Carrier. Mr. Danforth is survived by his wife, Mary Reeves Danforth; two sons, Jerry Lynn Danforth and Craig William Danforth; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2014 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Wayne Lowe officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Heart Association, P.O.
