William Frye Jr.

William "Billy" H. Frye Jr., 73, of Carson, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013 at his residence. He was the son of the late Mary Harrison and William H. Frye Sr. He was a member of Oakland Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Frye was preceded in death by his brother, Linwood Frye, and sisters; Elizabeth Hays, Julia Callis, and Wilma Solo. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Irma G. Frye; sons, Michael Frye and wife Carol of Dinwiddie, Henry Frye and wife Michelle of Greenfield Center, NY; daughter, Margaret Ann Wright and husband Donald, of Carson; brother, Fred Frye of Lexington, TN. sister, Erna Anderson of Roanoke, Shirley Bishop of Prince George County, Naomi Banty of Chester. He was grandpa to: Daniel, David and Dawn Frye of Greenfield Center, NY, Tracy and Nicole Frye, of Dinwiddie, and also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at 11:00am in Oakland Baptist Church 12601 Prince George Drive Disputanta, VA 23842 with the Reverend Robert W. Livesay III., officiating. Interment to follow in Southlawn Memorial Park Prince George, Virginia. The family will receive friends Tuesday January 29, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Oakland Baptist Church Building Fund, 12601 Prince George Drive, Disputanta, Virginia 23842 or Crater Community Hospice, 3916 South Crater Road, Petersburg Virginia 23805. The family would like to thank Crater Community Hospice for their care and support over the last several months. Arrangements are being handled by the Petersburg Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 3935 S. Crater Road.
