William Johnson

William Cody Johnson, 25, of South Chesterfield, VA, unexpectedly departed this world on September 22, 2018. A member of Matoaca United Methodist Church, Cody graduated Matoaca HS Class of 2011. He was an assistant manager at Walmart Marketplace where he was employed for almost 3 years. Cody loved his family and was looking forward to becoming an uncle. He was a loving son who also looked up to his brother. Cody was always willing to give a helping hand. An avid Eagles fan, Cody will always be remembered for his glowing smile. He is survived by his loving parents, Ralph and Sharon (Weathers) Johnson; brother, Timothy Johnson and wife, Amy; soon-to-be-born niece, Taylin Faith; maternal grandmother, Jean Weathers; aunts & uncles, Brenda Price (Andy), Doug Weathers (Tabby), Gordon Johnson, Raymond Johnson, Patricia K. Johnson; cousins, Lee Price (Kayla), Joy Price, Brittany and Lindsey Weathers, Austin and Riley Price, Tony Johnson, Mark Johnson, Leah Johnson, Rebecca Johnson; and many friends, including Josh Temple, Matt and Whitley Smith, and Elliott Nealy. Cody was predeceased by his sisters, Brandy Johnson and Debra Poole; paternal grandparents, Luther and Virginia Johnson; maternal grandfather, Franklin Weathers; uncle, Roger Johnson; and beloved dog, Dixie. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Matoaca United Methodist Church with the Rev. Richard Gordon officiating. Visitation with the family will also be held at the church from 2-4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Matoaca United Methodist Church, 6301 River RD., S. Chesterfield, VA 23803.
