William Mccormick

William Joseph "Billy' McCormick, 79, of Sutherland went to be with the Lord and his beloved wife, Katherine L. McCormick on November 13, 2018 with his loving family by his side. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lura Dean McCormick; father, James Hilton McCormick; brother, Bobby McCormick and son-in-law, Kevin "Sug" Lewis. Mr. McCormick retired as a packer at Brown and Williamson Tobacco Company and also retired from VDOT. Mr. McCormick loved to rabbit hunt and to spend time with his family, especially his grandkids. Mr. McCormick is survived by his daughter, Linda M. Lewis; son, Larry Joseph McCormick Sr. and his wife, Mary McCormick all of Dinwiddie; grandchildren, Christy Hayes and husband, Wesley, Jennifer Bishop and husband, Scott, Amanda Jones, Larry Joseph McCormick Jr. and wife, Aimee and Jessica Brockwell and husband, Glynn; ten great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; brothers, John McCormick (Patricia) and Kenny McCormick; sisters, Jerry Mae Bowe (David), Bettie Norfleet (Abe) and Irene Grant (Russell) and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at the Crater Road Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 3935 South Crater Road, Petersburg, Virginia, 23805. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 19, 2018 at Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, South Prince George, Virginia 23805.
