1SG William Robert "Bill" Moats, USA (ret.), 73, of Prince George passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at the McGuire VA Medical Center, Richmond. Born in Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Franklin P. Moats and Dorothy Mae Clark. He was preceded in death by a son, William Lee Moats and two brothers. Mr. Moats was also a retired Civil Service employee at Bellwood. He is survived by his loving wife, Anna M. Moats; daughters, Monika M. Brewster of Mechanicsville, Loretta A. Smith of Chesterfield and Pamela K. Montgomery of Alexandria; seven grandchildren, Lee, Aaron, Kyle, Alan, Sarah, Brett and Zachary; one great-grandson, Jayce; and six sisters. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 20, 2015 at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia, 10300 Pridesville Road, Amelia, Virginia 23002. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 19, 2015 at the Crater Road Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, Virginia 23060. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.
