William Harrison

William Octave "Billy" Harrison, died on Friday, February 5, 2021.  He was born on September 2, 1937 in McKenney, Virginia to the late Lloyd Meade Harrison Sr. and Lois Ferrell Harrison.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Lloyd Meade Harrison, Jr. and is survived by his sister, Virginia Nowlin Harrison and his first cousin, Robert Meredith Harrison. He was a lifelong member of The Church of the Good Shepherd in McKenney, Virginia and served on the vestry for many years. Billy worked at AT&T for 38 years as a communication technician.  He was a member of the Ruritan Club, an Episcopal Youth Coordinator, the treasurer of Boy Scout Troop 184, and was a member of the masons.  He is also survived by his wife of 58 years, Grace Crowe Harrison; his sons, William Octave "Will" Harrison, Jr. and wife, Ellen Paige Clay and Michael Guy "Mike" Harrison and wife, Stephanie Hadwin Harrison; grandchildren, William James Harrison, Elena Grace Harrison, Michael Todd Harrison, Sydney Elaine Harrison, and Sarah Abigail Hadwin; and a great grandchild, Annabel Lee Hadwin.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2021 in Good Shepherd Episcopal Church Cemetery, 7800 Lew Jones Road, McKenney, Virginia 23837.  Arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E Alvin Small Funeral Home, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia. 23834.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Church of the Good Shepherd P.O.
