William Perkinson

William "Frank" Perkinson, 91, of Chesterfield, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Dinwiddie, Virginia on January 11, 1927 to the late Willie D. and Helen E. Collier Perkinson. Mr. Perkinson was preceded in death by his wife, Glenice P. Perkinson; grandson, Greg Parrish; son-in-law, Charles Bollinger; three brothers; and one sister. He was a United States Navy WWII veteran, and the retired Proprietor of Perkinson Tile. Mr. Perkinson was a member of Highland United Methodist Church in Colonial Heights, BPO Elks #237, and the American Legion Post 284. He is survived by three daughters, Diane Parrish (Lin) of Smithfield, Audrey Bollinger of Chesterfield, Loretta Rose (Donald) of Chesterfield; step daughter, Dixie C. Palmer (Jep) of Georgia; five grandchildren, Becky Dollins, Tracy Burke, Scott Bollinger, Julie Artist, Bubba Rose; thirteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834, with the Chaplain William Gibson officiating. Entombment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, Virginia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Ettrick Matoaca Rescue Squad, 5711 River Road, S. Chesterfield, Virginia 23803 or to Crater Community Hospice, 3916 S.
