William Collin Shields, beloved son, age 16, of Colonial Heights, was called to the Lord on September 8, 2008. He was a junior at Colonial Heights High School. He was an active member of St. Martin of Tours Parish, Fort Lee. William loved the Lord, family, friends, soccer, and helping others. William was a remarkable young man, and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his parents John and Virginia Maceluch Shields; and his brother, Nicholas Shields; by his grandparents, Mary T. Maceluch of Biscoe, North Carolina, James E. Shields of Asheboro, North Carolina, and Thomas S. Maceluch of Spring Lake, North Carolina; by his great-grandmother, Helen Maceluch of Hempstead, New York. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 14, 2008 in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 3110 Greenwood Avenue, Colonial Heights.
