William G. Slaughter, 74, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Monday, May 17, 2010 at Southside Regional Medical Center. He was the son of the late John L. and Mary Fitts Slaughter, and the widower of Deloris Lane Slaughter. Mr. Slaughter was a United States Army veteran, a former member of Harrowgate Baptist Church, and retired from Honeywell as a Lab Technician. He was proud to be a Christian and shared his feelings with everyone around him for many years. He is survived by two sisters, Helen S. Martin and husband, Earl of DeWitt, and Emma Jean Hinson and husband, Earl of Petersburg; two brothers, John E. Slaughter of Chester, and Charles Earl Slaughter and wife, Alice of DeWitt; numerous nieces and nephews. A private graveside service was held in Bermuda Memorial Park, Enon.
