William Sprenkle

William Jewell "Adella" Sprenkle, 78, of Courtland, Virginia, formerly of York, Pennsylvania, passed away at his daughter's residence on Saturday, May 21, 2011. Mr. Sprenkle was the son of the late Jacob Edwin Sprenkle and Helen Hayes Sprenkle. William was a ten year veteran of the United States Army and a retired inspector for Harley-Davidson U.S.A. Survivors include daughters, Debra Anne Dettinger and husband, Gene of Courtland, Sabrina Shivers of Rolla, Missouri, and Valerie Sprenkle of York; sister, Janet Laughman of York; grandchildren, Tina Brown, Ameta Dawson, Renee Dettinger, Todd S. Dawson, and Dale Shivers; fifteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. In observance of his wishes, private services will be held on the Cherokee Indian Reservation, Cherokee, North Carolina. Arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E.
