William Webster

April 28, 1928 — December 16, 2010

William Thomas (Billy) Webster Jr., 82, of Chesterfield, died Thursday, December 16, 2010. Born in Petersburg, he was son of the late William T. and Mary Lou Henshaw Webster and widower of Alva Taylor Webster. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Petersburg, the Homebuilders Assoc. of Southside Virginia and the American Pilots Assoc. He was a retired superintendent for Swearingen Realty having built many homes in the area. He is survived by two sons, Tony W. Webster and wife, Gloria and Kevin Thomas Webster and wife, Kim all of Matoaca; a daughter, Brenda Alice Webster and fiancé, Roy W. Hogue, Jr. of Prince George; four sisters, Phyllis Owens of Hopewell, Lavenia Coleman of Matoaca, Violet Johnson of Dinwiddie and Joyce Joyner of Prince George; a brother, Charles Webster of Orlando, Florida; sister-in-law, Essie Bickings of Chesterfield; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and loving companion for the past six years, Barbara Connelly. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Dr. Richard Bendall will officiate. Interment will be in Woods United Methodist Church Cemetery, Chesterfield. The family will receive friends Monday 7-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society - Wesy Chappell 1117 Fort Hayes Dr., Petersburg, Va. 23805 or Seventh Day Adventist Church 300 Poplar Drive, Petersburg, Va. 23805.
