It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Willie B. Brown IV, age 4, on Sunday, March 12, 2023, after a fearless battle with Jeune's Syndrome. Willie brought endless joy and happiness to everyone he met, and the world is a little dimmer without his light.

Willie was known for his silly antics that would always bring a smile to our faces. He loved nothing more than listening to music. His contagious laughter and playful spirit will be missed by all who knew him.

Despite the challenges of his illness, Willie always had a smile on his face. His smile could light up even the darkest of rooms and bring joy to everyone around him. He had a heart full of love and affection and loved nothing more than giving kisses and cuddles from his mama.

Willie’s passing has left a void in our hearts that can never be filled. We take comfort in knowing that he is no longer in pain and that he will forever be remembered for the love and joy he brought into our lives. We will always cherish the memories we shared with Willie and hold them close in our hearts. Willie may be gone, but his spirit and love will live on forever.

He is survived by his loving parents, Terasa Justine and Willie B. Brown III; three sisters, Jamie Sullivan, Riley Sullivan, Lexi-Jo Brown; maternal grandmother, Joetta Tweedie (Allen); maternal grandfather, James Tweedie; great-grandparents, Pamela "Grammy" Brown and Willie "Papa" Brown, Sr.; paternal grandmother, Irene Buskey; paternal grandfather, Willie B. Brown, Jr.; and other extended beloved family members.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, VCU Pulmonary department, VCU Dialysis team, and his primary care physician, Tiffany Kimbrough, for their outstanding care for Willie in his time of need.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2023 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Interment will be private.
