Willie Stainback Jr.

Willie B. Stainback Jr., 73, of Carson, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2008 at Southside Regional Medical Center. He was the son of the late Willie B. Stainback Sr. and Florence Winfield Stainback and was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Rebecca N. Stainback. Willie was a retired auto mechanic at the Ted Curry Motors formerly in Petersburg. He is survived by his faithful and loving companion, Viola G. Wells; sons, Cecil Ray Stainback of Sussex and Mark E. Stainback of Richmond; sisters, Willie Mae Poarch of Dinwiddie, Grace Grizzard of Greensville, Emily Andre' of Gasper, Goldie Cox of Halifax County, North Carolina, Florence Scott of Virginia, and Olive Schnitz of North Carolina; brothers, Francis Stainback of Dallas, North Carolina, Albert Stainback of Westbury, New York, Rufus Stainback and Carroll Stainback both of Colonial Heights; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 14, 2008 at Tabernacle Methodist Church, Carson with the Reverend John Romain officiating.
