Willnet Lockett

Willnet Howlett Lockett, 92, of Colonial Heights, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 26, 2016. Born July 22, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Willie A and Nettie E. Howlett and is also preceded in death by her husband, Warren A. Lockett. Willnet has been a member of Matoaca Baptist Church for many years. She will be remembered for her kindness and sweet, gentle, and caring ways in helping wherever she was needed, but most of all she wanted everybody to love one another. Her favorite days included spending time with family and friends, doing whatever it was that made them smile. She was everyone's Angel and will be deeply missed. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 30, 2016 at Matoaca Baptist Church, 6409 River Rd, Petersburg, Virginia 23803, with the Reverend Donald Joyner officiating. Interment will be held in Blandford Cemetery in Petersburg. The family will receive friends Thursday night, September 29, 2016 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the church. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes, 2033 Boulevard.
