Winifred Parrish

Winifred H. "Jean" Parrish, of Prince George, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Ivey Ridge Assisted Living Center in Petersburg. She was the only child of the late John and Mary Haines and widow of Edgar Williams Parrish Sr. She was past Bethel Guardian of the International Order of Job's Daughters, past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, past Royal Matron of the Order of the Amaranth and always enjoyed her times spent at the beach. She retired in 1983 from Hercules Chemical Incorporated after 39 years of service. She is survived by a daughter, Cathy P. Sipes, and husband Jerry, and son, Edgar W. Parrish, Jr. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 16, 2015 at Sunset Memorial Park, 2901 W. Hundred Road, Chester, VA 23831 with the Reverend Barry Ashbrook officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, March 15, 2015 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
