Winifred Rogers

Winifred Glass Rogers, 86, of Chester, was welcomed into Heaven by our Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday, April 12, 2017. She was born February 24, 1931 to the late Franklin and Mary Stewart Glass, and was preceded in death by her husband, James Henry Rogers. Winifred retired after many years of service as a mathematics teacher from Meadowbrook High School in Chesterfield County, Virginia, where many of her students will remember her dedication to their education. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Chester, Virginia. Winifred is survived by five children; several grandchildren; and numerous other family members. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 17, 2017 in City Point National Cemetery in Hopewell, Virginia, with the Reverend R. Dale Custer officiating. Her death leaves a heartache that no one can heal, but her Love leaves a memory that no one can steal. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John's Episcopal Church, P.O.
