Winston Scott Sr.

Winston "Scotty" Scott Sr., 88, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Monday, November 22, 2010 at Southside Regional Medical Center. He was the son of the late Winfield W. and Frances Hargrove Scott and was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Barbara and Patricia Scott; his son, Winston C. Scott Jr.; two brothers, Luther and Winfield Scott. He was the owner and operator of the W. C. Scott and Son Oil Company of Colonial Heights. He is survived by wife, Marie Scott; daughters, Virginia Smith and husband, Larry of White Plains, Va., Betty Moore and husband, William "JR" of Weldon, North Carolina; step-daughters, Gloria Price, and Janice Vitale; grandchildren, Danny Kidd, Tracey Kegley, Scott Kidd, Barry Kidd, Nichole Adams, Jason Moore, and Winston Scott III; and numerous great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 29, 2010 in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg Va. Arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
