The name is WILLS not Willis: Wirt N. Wills, Sr. "Nicky" 90, of Matoaca passed away Friday, April 2nd at his home away from home, Dunlop House Assisted Living. Mr. Wills was a Petersburg native.  He served in both the U.S. Navy & the U.S. Air Force and was a Korean War Veteran.  His achievements were numerous as well as his passions. He was a retired Electrical Forman for Ft. Lee, a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge of Petersburg, loved flying remote control airplanes, music was a passion both listening and playing his beloved harmonicas, in his younger years he was quite a dancer never having to look far for a partner and could fix absolutely anything and everything. Mr. Wills was a true gentleman, he lived everyday with honor and integrity always putting others before himself, he was the definition of humility, grace, class, thoughtfulness, compassion as well as ethics.  Heaven has truly gained an angel.  His absence on this earth is truly a loss for all that knew him and loved him. Mr. Wills also leaves to cherish his memory his 7 grandchildren, Jackie & Maggie Fox, Rosie Cornell, Robert Wills, Austyn Britt, and Regan & Mason Shumaker; As well as 2 great-grandchildren, Greyson Wills and Makayla Britt; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
