Zacharie Hogwood

Zacharie Scott Hogwood, 28, of Chesterfield, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2020. He was born in Richmond, Virginia on May 14, 1991. Zacharie was an avid New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan and played baseball when he was young. He loved listening to music and was a hard worker, but above all he valued the time that he spent with family and friends. He was especially proud of being a father, and he will be greatly missed by all those who had the honor of knowing and loving him. Zacharie was preceded in death by his grandfather, Henry Page Hogwood. He is survived by his children, Melody, Hope, and Liam; parents, Scott Hogwood and Tabitha Thurman; step-father, Raymond Thurman; siblings, Carli, Alexander, and Kayla; grandparents, Wilhelmina Hogwood and Ginger Mannell (Gregg); aunts and uncles, Mike (Susan), Cherl (Mike), Hazel (Rob), Carolyn (Ron); nieces and nephews, James, Jaxson, Olivia, and Charlotte; and many cousins. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at 3 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
