Zaydelle Tyler

Zaydelle O'Mery Tyler, 95, of Colonial Heights, VA passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Tyler's Retreat. She was the daughter of the late Tasker P. and Clemmie Shell O'Mery; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond L. Tyler, Sr. Mrs. Tyler was a member of Colonial Heights Baptist Church and had retired from Titmus Optical Company. She is survived by her son, Louis B. "Lumo" Lape and wife, Pattie of Colonial Heights; four grandsons, Timmy Lape and wife Kristi, Kevin Lape and wife Michelle, Michael Lape and Andy Lape and wife Ashely; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of Tyler's Retreat for their compassionate care during her stay there. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2016 in Blandford Cemetery, with the Rev. Jim Burton, officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
